Residential lettings

The recent boom in the buy to let market and underperformance of pension funds has resulted in many more people becoming residential landlords for the first time. Residential lettings can present a potential minefield to those who enter into the market without proper preparation and advice.

Buying to let requires consideration of special issues which do not arise in normal conveyancing transactions and we are happy to use our expertise to guide clients through these when acting on the purchase of properties whether vacant or with sitting tenants. We are also able to deal with the purchase of whole property portfolios or companies.

Once clients have bought their properties to let it is essential to ensure that proper tenancy agreements are in place and we are able to prepare these and advise you on their use.

Finally we are able to help when things go wrong. We can serve eviction notices and deal with court proceedings to remove tenants, as well as to sue for unpaid rent and repairs to your property.
