Mears Hobbs & Durrant Solicitors

Disputes

Dealing with a wide variety of cases, our civil litigation department has a wealth of experience in helping clients through the often worrying and baffling world of court claims.

Over recent years we have dealt with many cases, some reaching the Court of Appeal, including:

  • Contractual claims
  • Neighbour disputes over boundaries, rights of way and noise disturbance
  • Landlord and tenant issues
  • Human rights claims
  • Bankruptcy and insolvency matters
  • Disputes over contested wills and related inheritance claims

We aim to attempt to resolve disputes as quickly, cheaply and effectively as possible. We have contacts with many local expert witnesses whose experience can be brought in at an early stage to attempt to resolve the dispute if necessary.

We are very familiar with the process of ‘Alternative Dispute Resolution’ (ADR), a process of trying to resolve arguments in the early stages, to avoid unnecessary court proceedings.

Where court proceedings are unavoidable, we are familiar with helping our clients through the process in a supportive and professional way.
